Crag: Stoney Creek Cliffs

Location: Drive thirty five and a half miles north on Hwy. 129
from Hwy. 17 at Thessalon. Hwy 129 will make a 90-degree turn to the left and then immediately pass over Stoney Creek (where it feeds into the Mississagi River). Park at the end of the guardrail on the right side of the road. Hike north and east uphill, following Stoney Creek drainage and you will see a
large curtain of ice about 150 feet wide and 100 feet
Description: Climb the vertical 15ft bulge jutting from the base of the curtain, just right of the hanging daggers, to a
small stance. Continue up vertical ice to a larger
ledge with a large cedar tree off to the right.
Descent: Rappel off the tree using the fixed sling and quicklink.
