Getting Oriented

Crag: Kama Bay

Rating: WI4+, 50m

Route Description
This is the huge route in the center of the Kama Bay cliffs that can be seen from Highway 17.

Access is by heading up the maybe-broken-in trail from the "Crown Land" sign on Domtar 81 road.

Pitch 1 - WI3+, 25m. From the base of the route, climb the bumps on the left side of the route, or up the straight wall on the right (harder). Belay from screws at the large ledge on top of the pillar.

Pitch 2 - WI4+, 25m. Up a steep wall, then through a few steep boulders and a dagger-filled wall to the blocky exit gully.

Descent: Rap from trees at the top left of the route.

First Ascent: Mark Wilford, Shaun Parent, Christine French, Mark Hrubant, Rick Page, March 1991
